An aircraft store is carried equipment such as a fuel tank, pod or weapon. Some stores remain attached throughout a flight; others are designed to be released. A stores-ejection system supports the latter function.
Release frees the store from its attachment, while ejection adds the force that moves it away. In a cartridge-powered assembly, the cartridge provides energy and the surrounding mechanism directs the mechanical action.
Valor manufactures the MK-107 as part of its stores-ejection cartridge range. The cartridge is one component of the release assembly, whose application depends on the aircraft, carried equipment and approved configuration.
