What does a stores-ejection cartridge do?
An aircraft store is carried equipment, such as a fuel tank, pod or weapon. In a cartridge-powered ejection system, a stores-ejection cartridge generates gas pressure to operate a mechanism that pushes the store away from the aircraft.
Release frees the store from its attachment. Ejection adds the force that moves it away. The cartridge provides energy for this action within the larger release assembly.
Which stores-ejection cartridges does Valor make?
Valor Tactical manufactures MK-107 and MK-17 stores-ejection cartridges for defense aviation applications. Each cartridge is a component of a larger assembly that holds, releases and ejects the store.
How does a cartridge fit into its release assembly?
A stores-ejection cartridge must match the requirements of the assembly it serves. The cartridge designation and configuration identify the product, while the aircraft and release equipment determine its application.
Valor also offers custom cartridge manufacturing for program-specific requirements. This work can involve an established design or an approved configuration change.
