The term “store” covers carried equipment such as fuel tanks, pods and weapons. Ejection involves more than removing a restraint: the release equipment actively moves the item away from the aircraft.
The cartridge’s function belongs to this complete assembly. Its identity must remain connected to the equipment and configuration it supports, because a cartridge designation alone does not describe the whole aircraft-and-store combination.
